A pastor has made a mark preaching from Genesis to Revelation nonstop for ninety-six hours.

According to his church, a pastor in Mississippi has set an unofficial world record by preaching nonstop for ninety-six hours. Over the course of four days, Matt Olson, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Sharon, preached from Genesis to Revelation while adhering to a set schedule that included brief rest, food, and medical check-ups.

“God’s Word is truth.”. and it’s adequate,” Olson stated. It kept me going for ninety-six hours when I shouldn’t have been able to physically. Nobody ought to be able to do that.

”He said the idea came after completing a 10-day missionary training program, which included 96 hours in the woods without access to a Bible. The experience, he said, made him realize how much Scripture he still needed to master.

‘When he told church leaders, Olson said they thought he was “crazy” but supported the plan. A team was organised to provide medical monitoring, technical support and round-the-clock prayer.

”The church followed Guinness World Record-style guidelines for endurance speaking, including five-minute breaks each hour that could be banked for longer rest periods. However, the attempt was not officially submitted for verification.

”According to Olson, this was partially because of the expense and the lack of emphasis on publicity. He remarked, “This has never been about a world record.”. “It was just about being obedient to what God called us to do and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ because it saves.”

”Ananta Ram KC of Nepal currently holds the record for the longest marathon speech, having spoken for 90 hours and two minutes. According to Olson, the encounter improved his understanding of Scripture and his faith. “Jesus is Lord,” he declared. “Every sentence I preached, every sacrifice made, and every subsequent act of obedience are all due to him.
